Stuart Mill Capital, Inc., formed in 1997 to match executive talent with growth oriented companies, manages Stuart Mill Venture Partners, L.P.

We are a team of executives whose career experience includes years in senior positions in a rapidly growing Fortune 50 financial institution and a subsequent transition to entrepreneur/buy-out executives. We achieved two highly successful enterprise mergers, one in technology and the other in out-sourced business/government services.

Each of us held leadership positions at Sallie Mae from the early 1980s through 1997. As executives we contributed significantly to developing and executing inventive corporate strategies, including initiatives to create a national loan servicing operation, transform the corporation from a commodity wholesaler to a retail consumer product provider, and engineer the first and only exit from the constraints of a large government-sponsored enterprise to the full flexibility of a Delaware based charter.

With venture capital partners, we entered the travel/hospitality sector in 1999, acquiring SatoTravel, a billion dollar travel management services company serving the military and federal government sectors. We carefully migrated SatoTravel from an airline-owned cooperative to a for-profit enterprise. The subsequent sale to Navigant International provided investors a 300% gain over 30 months.

In 2004-2005 we were invited by SynXis Corporation investors to grow this hotel reservations technology company toward a successful exit. While at SynXis we implemented marketing and technology strategies to grow revenue, expand the overseas customer base, and achieve technology currency. We executed a sale transaction just over a year after joining the in-place SynXis management team.

Between operating management engagements, we have consulted with numerous corporations providing organization, technology, marketing, operations and federal sector business guidance. Our team works effectively together and with investment company partners to achieve exceptional business results.
